FULL INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT IN MADROÑAL
CASA CALISTA.
Villa in Madroñal
El Madroñal- Benahavís
Casa Calista is a 1,300 sqm luxury villa in El Madroñal,
Benahavís, closed to Marbella, Spain, comprising five bedrooms,
a gym, spa, lift, wine cellar, bar and games room. Despite
its remarkable architecture and generous amenities, the
property had stood empty and unsold for several years. Our
intervention focused on reshaping the atmosphere of the
home through interior design, bringing warmth, softness
and desirability to a space that initially felt visually cold and
emotionally distant.

A PRIVILEGED SETTING IN EL MADROÑAL. SPAIN
Set within the natural landscape of El Madroñal, Casa Calista enjoys a privileged hillside
position that combines privacy, scale and panoramic openness. The architecture sits confidently
within its plot, framed by generous outdoor areas and a strong connection to the surrounding
landscape.
From the terraces and pool, the villa opens onto far-reaching views over the valley towards
the Mediterranean. This exceptional setting shaped the interior approach: a home designed
not only to be seen, but to be experienced as a calm, elegant and highly desirable retreat.

LIVING ROOM

Before
The living room originally offered generous proportions
and strong architectural lines, yet it felt visually cold and
unresolved. Our design approach focused on introducing
warmth, softness and a clearer sense of identity through
layered interior styling.

After
A bespoke design scheme was developed around custommade
furniture, tailored armchairs and carefully selected
decorative layers. Cushions by Romo Fabrics and a statement
wallcovering by Tecnografica helped bring texture, depth and
visual warmth to the space.

Details
The final living area feels calm, elegant and fully connected
to the lifestyle of the home. Through bespoke interiors,
soft tones and carefully balanced composition, the space
was transformed into a refined luxury living room with both
emotional and market appeal
PLAY ROOM
FROM EMPTY SHELL TO LIFESTYLE SPACE

Before
What was once an undefined open-plan area was
reimagined as a warm and multifunctional living space,
designed to enhance both everyday comfort and the
lifestyle appeal of the villa. The challenge was not only
to furnish the room, but to give it structure, atmosphere
and purpose within the wider narrative of the house.

After
A bespoke TV wall, custom joinery and textured finishes
introduced visual rhythm and depth, while the addition
of a glazed wine display and bar area created a stronger
sense of identity and entertainment. Soft upholstery, warm
neutral tones and layered materials helped soften the
original flooring and bring a more intimate scale to the room.
The result is a refined lounge environment that feels elegant,
inviting and fully integrated into the experience of a highend
home in El Madroñal.
MASTER BEDROOM

Before
The principal bedroom was designed as a warm and cocooning retreat. Although the original space was generous and filled with natural light, it initially felt cold and undefined. Through a bespoke wall composition, tailored upholstery, made-to-measure furniture and a palette of soft earthy neutrals, we introduced depth, rhythm and comfort. The result is a refined suite with a stronger identity, where warmth and softness balance the clean architectural shell.

After
The finished master bedroom is defined by softness, balance and understated luxury. A carefully composed palette of earthy neutrals, bespoke detailing and tailored furnishings brings warmth and cohesion to the space, while the custom wall design creates depth and a strong visual focal point. The result is a sophisticated suite that feels calm, inviting and fully aligned with the character of the home.
MASTER BATHROOM

Before
The bathroom originally offered generous proportions and
strong architectural potential, yet it felt visually cold and
incomplete. Although spacious, the room lacked the warmth,
layering and focal elements needed to create a true luxury
bathroom experience.

The process
Our intervention involved a substantial redesign of the space,
including the replacement of the original bathroom furniture
and the introduction of a more refined material language.
The layout was carefully reworked to improve balance,
atmosphere and visual impact, while preparing the room for
a new freestanding bathtub that was not part of the original
scheme.

The result
The final result is a calm and sophisticated bathroom with a
much stronger sense of identity. Bespoke vanity furniture,
warmer finishes, layered textures and the addition of a
freestanding bathtub transformed the space into an elegant
wellness-inspired retreat, fully aligned with the lifestyle of
the home.
